I was convinced by Luxadent to get 10 veneers and some fillings. They knew from the start that I am leaving for overseas for 3 months beginning this week so they expedited getting the veneers done. They did all the prep work last week and told me to come in yesterday to get the permanent ones installed. So I arrive and they anesthetize the hell out of my mouth and remove my temporary placeholder veneers. I’m left with grinded down teeth with gaps between them. They send me to their lab to try on and pick up the permanent ones. When I arrived at the lab they were disappointed that I had been anesthetized so heavily because I couldn’t even move my mouth or smile to try on the veneers. So I was made to sit and wait 35 minutes for the swelling to go down. Then the teeth needed an adjustment which I was told might happen. “Be picky with the lab! These are your forever teeth and you want them to be perfect!” I was told by Luxadent twice before leaving. I was told this would take 45-1 hour. It took longer than that. While waiting, Luxadent had their receptionist call me? To ask where I was? At THEIR LAB! That they CHOOSE to use! When I arrived back at Luxadent, they tried to offer to order me food. They tried 3 times but remember, my temporary vaneers had been removed and I was still a bit numb. I didn’t want them to have to clean my teeth yet again. I now realize that they were trying to buy themselves time… They immediately anesthetized me again as I was starting to feel a bit. They sort of chastised me for taking so long? Even though it was out of MY control and fully in THEIR lab’s. After being numbed they left me. And left me. And left me. I sat there for over an HOUR! Long enough that I had time to write negative reviews on Yelp and Google. And long enough that when they finally came back, I had to be NUMBED AGAIN. Small nitpicks, they speak solely in Spanish whenever not speaking directly to a patient. I am white and blonde yet fluent in Spanish so I don’t think they realized that. Can come off as disrespectful for sure. And the dental assistant (male) leaned on my arm and chest while working on me, and I have some trauma related issues with unnecessary physical touch from men.
